What we use today

Our current consent manager uses one essential cookie, and Clerk (our sign-in provider) uses two more to keep you signed in. Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics 4 are optional analytics technologies and are only enabled on deployments where their configuration is present and you have accepted Analytics.

Signing in

Clerk

When you sign in or create an account, Nookivia uses Clerk to handle authentication. Clerk sets two essential cookies — __session and __client_uat — so you stay signed in and so we can verify it's really you making a request. These only appear once you visit the sign-in page; no other page sets them.

These cookies are strictly necessary for signing in, so they're not part of the optional Analytics or Marketing categories and don't need your consent to be set. Nookivia never sees your password — we don't have one, since sign-in is provider-only.

Optional analytics

Microsoft Clarity

Microsoft Clarity helps us understand how visitors use Nookivia through analytics, session insights and session replay. It is classified as Analytics and is only initialised after you allow the Analytics category in Cookie settings.

Clarity is not used for advertising. Advertising storage is always denied. If Analytics consent is withdrawn, Nookivia sends Clarity a denied consent state and uses Clarity's supported cookie cleanup behaviour.

Clarity may use provider-controlled cookies such as _clck and _clsk. Cookie names and retention periods can change as Microsoft updates the service, so the inventory is reviewed when the integration changes.

Optional analytics

Google Analytics 4

Google Analytics 4 (GA4) helps us understand how visitors use Nookivia through aggregated website analytics. It is classified as Analytics and is only initialised after you allow the Analytics category in Cookie settings.

Advertising storage is always denied. Nookivia does not send names, email addresses, booking references, free-form content or other unnecessary personal information to GA4, and it does not put those values in page paths or event parameters.

GA4 may use provider-controlled cookies such as _ga and _ga_M47Q90Q5ZQ. Cookie names and retention periods can change as Google updates the service, so the inventory is reviewed when the integration changes.

When things change

Every new cookie, browser-storage technology, analytics tool, marketing tag or similar technology must be audited and added to Nookivia's canonical inventory before it is introduced. The policy is checked against that inventory as part of the build and release process.

If a change affects what we use or why we use it, we'll update this page and its policy version as part of that change.
